With our approach, we wish to help you reweave a link to the loved one, transforming his clothes in objects of memory.
What to expect?
Discover our approach
Since our approach is unique, let us explain it step by step.
Get in touch
Call or write to us. Tell us about the life steps you are going through, the clothes meaningful to you and the persone who wore these.
Meeting home
We will meet you at home. On that day, we will take the time to look at the clothes together.
Product Choice
While we take pictures of your clothes, you can look at, and touch, the prototypes in order to chose the one suiting your home the best. By inserting the pictures of your tissus to our templates, we will be able to show you right away a very close example of what your clothes will look like after passing by our woorkrooms.
Start
When you will be totally satisfied by the visual proposition, we will leave your home with your clothes.
Our Seamstresses
What is happening next? Your clothes will be given to one of our seamstresses so that she can transform them according to your requests. Note that we garantee we will not alter your clothes in the 7 days following our visit. Why? Because there are as many grief paths as there are humans walking these and because there is not a single rhythm dictating this passage in our lives. We let you 7 days to get in touche with us again if our service arrives too early in your life. During that time, you will be able to cancel at any moment your order or put it on hold.
The Transformation
Once the transformation by one of our seamstresses has begun, you can expect a delay of about two months before welcoming us again at your home, in order to get back your clothes, this time in their brand new form.
Finally
What about the retails we do not use? We keep them in our workspace for a 12 months period. Why? To make up for life’s multiple surprises: for example, the birth of a sixth grand-child not expected, who too will need a stuffed animal of his grandmother.
An idea of Félix Lapierre
My first contact with sewing happened when I was 8 years old. My mother showed me how to make myself a cuddly toy with an old woollen sock and a couple of buttons. Without knowing it, she just initiated a personal passion that has never left me since.
I have always loved creating, transforming existing materials in something else; to make these bearer of an even deeper meaning. That’s a bit what The Little Knots is about: undoing a connection to tie another one. Between two persons. For one, by his/her clothing as a continuation for him/herself. Connection renewed: different, admittedly, but bearer of a certain serenity.
I see myself first and foremost as a heart anthropologist. I am conscious of the privilege you offer me by confiding fragments of your life stories to me. I wish in return to create for you some presence fragments of your loved ones, which will bring some gentleness to your everyday life.
